New PIF

There's a new PIF post titled Water Wheel in Motion. It's a photograph of the watier wheel outside The Milltop, a small restaurant and bar on St. George Street that overlooks the Matanzas Bay. The entire restaurant/bar is upstairs and has a huge patio that gives a great view of the fort across the street. There are huge live oak trees enclosing the entire patio, giving the feel of being in a tree house.

I also still have three more of the PIF photographs Honey Anyone still available.

Have a great day!!!

PayPal Plunge

Well, I have protested the exclusive use of PayPal by buyers as long as I can. I have taken the plunge and now offer to accept PayPal on Etsy.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against PP itself. I simply don't like having to pay what amounts to "double fees" to sell any of my artwork. I already pay Etsy and now I pay PP. I tried using AlertPay, but it seems no one wants to use that service. Oh well...I'll go with the masses...for a while.

Creepy Valentine's

Angry and Stupid Valentine?

The eyes are creepy!

Onion Head Valentine?

Stalker Valentine?

OK, so I do know that Valentine's Day is still just over a month away, but I've decided to make a few handmade greeting cards and some domino art to offer on Etsy. So I started going through my collection of vintage Valentine's cards and I noticed something strange. Some of these cards are actually creepy. Almost frightening! I've found SO many that are just down-right wierd and evil looking~lol I thought I'd share a few and get your thoughts.

Today wasn't TOTALLY wasted

So Sara's has finally produced her puppies and I've only caught 2 naps (only about 3 hours total) in the past 2 days, but hey, I've been tired before. I decided to post some of my photography onto Etsy today. Not only do I still have lots of PIF's left, but I have "unearthed" several of my photographs from bygone years.

I know it's a little sappy, but New Years makes me want to go through all my "old things". Photos that I have put away and forgotten about. It's almost like Christmas all over again. I follow my poor husband around waving phtotos under his nose saying "remember when..."

Well, today I did it again. Bob tried going outside, but I just followed him. Both the children were forced to look at old baby pictures and Em's boyfriend finally saw her as a little girl (even though she threatened me over a few of the pics).

Anyway, I found photos from several of our trips and am currently sorting them to put up on Etsy AND I posted several new photographs recent photographs so I do feel like I have accomplished something today:-)

BTW, aren't the new babies cute??

Happy New Year and The Blessed Event

So, last night I didn't exactly bring in the New Year in a traditional sense. Sara decided that she would start producing puppies at 11:00. I am pleased to announce a total of 5 new German Shepherd puppies, 3 males and 2 females. One female was born "last year" and the rest are New Year babies. All are doing extremely well and they each have a healthy set of lungs~lol Who knew puppies could be so noisey??

My Etsy Items

Etsy PIF or Pay It Forward

I have listed a new Etsy PIF (Pay It Forward) item. My PIF's are listed as being .20 each with no shipping charges, however I actually charge nothing for these items. Most of my PIF items are photographs that I have taken around St. Augustine, FL that I simply love and want to share.
I do ask that if you get one of my PIF items, that you, in turn, list a small PIF item in your shop to share the joy with others.

The New York Times: For Craft Sales, the Recession Is a Help

"SAN FRANCISCO — Feeling the pinch of the economic downturn, some holiday gift-givers are saving money this year by making their own presents or — for those who lack the time or talent — buying handmade gifts from others.

Craft stores, from giant chains like Michaels Stores to small scrapbook supply shops, are reporting that sales are higher compared with the last holiday season, and online marketplaces for handmade goods, like Etsy, are seeing a boom in listings and transactions."

Etsy Postings

Today I have cleaned up a few Etsy listings and started listing a few new Altered Art Domino's and original photography. I've recently discovoered alcohol ink and LOVE the effects I can get on my dominos! I'm not only stamping images, but also adding charms to my alcohol ink dominos. They are very reasonably priced and just convo me to get a ball chain (available in silver, copper and black) to have a chain included in your order.
For the entire month of January, all altered art domino's are B2G1F (buy 2 get 1 free)! Just let me know which you'd like for a free one!!
